PRINT EXPO CONFERENCE – 15 MARCH
2007
The organisers of the Print Expo
Exhibition, to be held at Nasrec Exhibition
Centre have approached the Central Chamber
of PIFSA, with an invitation to arrange a
conference on one of the days from 13 - 16th
March, 2007. In order to accommodate this
request, the Executive Committee agreed to
move the date of the Annual General Meeting,
from 15th March to 29th March, 2007.
Approaches were made to the largest
exhibitors of the exhibition for assistance
in financially subsidising the event and
also to provide speakers from amongst their
international guests who would no doubt be
making use of the opportunity to travel to
South Africa and meet the widest variety of
customers, during the exhibition. As usual,
this request by the Chamber was embraced
with enthusiasm by these exhibitors and we
are very pleased to announce the following

92nd ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING
The Central Chamber's Annual General
Meeting, will be held on Thursday 29th March
2007 at 17h00 for 17h30, in the Nampak
Auditorium of the Cross Media Training
Centre (SA Printing College).
Please set aside this date to support your
Committee.
Our guest speaker this year is Dr Graeme
Codrington, who is a well-studied futurist,
strategist and professional speaker,
specialising in business strategy, societal
change and trends and generational theory.
He speaks to over 100,000 people, at more
than 150 different paid events, every year.
While doing articles and solutions
development, Graeme became interested in
understanding the so-called "generation gap"
- why young people found it so easy to enter
the "new economy" and handle technology,
while experienced adults could not - and why
adults were sceptical, cynical and even
hostile. In order to gain some theoretical
insights,
Graeme personally presents to about 100,000
people a year, sharing the platform with the
likes of Edward de Bono, Jonas Ridderstrale
and Neil Armstrong. Graeme is the co-author
of two best-selling books, "Mind the Gap"
(2004) and "Mind Over Money" (2002).
Graeme has five degrees, including a PhD in
Business Administration. He is a prolific
writer, with two best-selling books
published by Penguin, and has sold nearly
30,000 copies of his books in the past few
years. Graeme also writes for numerous
journals and magazines, as well as his own
website and blog. He is a member of the
National Speakers Association of South
Africa, as well as the International
Federation of Professional Speakers.
Dr Graeme Codrington studied a BComm at
WITS, while doing Chartered Accountancy
articles with KPMG. He majored in Accounts
and Information Systems, and was involved at
KPMG in automating their audit processes. He
left KPMG in 1993 to join an entrepreneurial
start-up company, which was revolutionising
computer training at the start of the
e-commerce era.
The cost of the dinner this year will be
R170.00 per person (including VAT).
Attached please find a reply form, please
complete and fax back to Nicky Cowell on 011
699 3042.
We look forward to seeing you there. |
